Being a long time user of Finale but a neophyte with the percussion mapping issues, I hoped they would talk me through a single setup so I could “read their minds” as to the process. I was told that, since documentation exists on these issues, no phone assistance would be given. I have read the documentation many times and I just don’t understand much of it. I will probably do what most of my friends and colleagues have done and just give up on trying to make this a workable feature, but that is a sad state of affairs for a program that has had such a great success in so many ways. It is somewhat of a comfort to my ego to know that a real “expert” also has issues with this tool.

Thanks David. I actually already sent this as a ticket to MakeMusic and had interaction with them about it. The answer we eventually came to after some email back and forth was “stick with Finale 2009”.
